On September 3rd the 2019-2020 Clipper Round the World Race officially started just off the mouth of the River Thames in England. The yachts are currently on race 1 of Leg 1 from England to Portimao, Portugal. Below are some photos of my team, WTC Logistics, leaving St. Kathrine’s Dock in London.

Clipper Round the World also has their own race tracker on their website, please see the link below.

The race viewer is updated every 6 hours and it has become addictive to watch! It’s going to be a long 11 months for the full circumnavigation with 8 legs and multiple races within each leg.

Also on the Clipper Race website you can select each team page, which then has a link to the skippers blog. The skippers give short updates every 24 hours and it is fascinating to watch on the tracker what is happening and then read the Skippers blog, I highly recommend checking it out.

With the race now officially started I will be posting blog updates about my team WTC Logistics and the race overall, intermixed with posts about the training I have already gone through and the preparations leading up to Leg 5.

Thanks again for reading and don’t forget to subscribe to my blog for the latest updates.
